Welcome to HitchHikingYeti. We started our adventures with a Instagram account to post photos of our trips to Disney World. Instagram has a great community for that and so far it has been a joyful place to be. We are so glad to be part of it and love all the wonderful connections we’ve made there. With some of the really active accounts you feel like you’ve become friends even though you’ve never met in person.
Our YouTube channel was created for two reasons. Firstly it was to relieve the boredom that was created when everyone was staying home. We love being home but eventually there’s a need to get out and explore again. Secondly, family and friends would ask about the photos on Instagram and would want to know more. How do you explain the experience you had in that moment? It’s tough. We started recording some videos. You know what happens then? You never have the video when you need it. The solution was to record it and put it online and what better place than YouTube.
Now we are creating a website. No real reason to do one other than we wanted to. So far it has been really frustrating but fun to do.
What do we like to do? We like traveling. We like to find all the roadside “attractions” wherever we go. Especially things you just don’t see everyday or wouldn’t know about if you are not a local. There are so many hidden gems everywhere. A great example is Metalmorphosis in Charlotte, NC. Theme parks are another favorite of ours. We’ve been to Disney World more than we like to say, especially since we don’t live close by. Universal Orlando and Sea World are also great. Bush Gardens, Dollywood, Disneyland, and Universal Hollywood are on the to do list. We love cruising. Cruising is one of our all time favorite things to do. We love relaxing on the beach, it’s just good for the soul. We love good food and trying new flavors. We’re just trying to be happy and enjoy what life has to offer.
Hopefully our videos will inspire others to get out, see and explore the world around them or if for reasons they can’t, we can share what we see and do with you.
